About The True North 38
Innovations and exclusive details make True North one of the most talked about yachts afloat. Whether you prefer an Express or a Flybridge, this is your boat.
Her standard turbo-charged 480 HP Yanmar diesel delivers 21-knot cruising (25 knots WOT); a bowthruster with joystick makes in-port maneuverability a breeze. And an underwater exhaust lets whispered conversations be loud enough while helping purge fumes from the air around you.
The forward master stateroom’s V-berth converts to an oversized double. And there’s an optional athwartships loft for children. The enclosed head includes a shower area with seat, a clothes hamper and all the requisite fixtures.
In the pilothouse, everyone from helmsman to small children has a great 360-degree view. The dinette’s tabletop lowers electrically for cocktails (and further to make up a double berth), powers up and, with the slide-out seats deployed, accommodates six adults for dinner. The galley’s right there, so no one misses the party, day or night.
Aft, the cockpit can handle a crowd. With the modular transom seats moved to the sides, there’s room for a 10-foot tender or sailing dinghy (so much easier than towing or davits). And the transom opens wide with your choice of original reverse-transom doors or vertical-hinged doors.
Wide sidedecks let you move around safely and retrieve canoes or kayaks from the pilothouse roof … unless you opt for the Flybridge model because you’d rather drive from on-high (there’s seating for 6 up there).
